Duy's Oven builds charcoal grills, charcoal ovens and offset smokers in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We are the workshop that cuts, bends, welds and coats the steel, not a trading office reselling someone else's stock. This page is for importers, distributors, foodservice equipment dealers and restaurant groups looking for a Vietnamese maker who will build to a drawing.

What we build
Five groups, with several sizes inside each. Around forty models have their own product page with dimensions and weights, and we will send a spec sheet for anything you cannot find.
- Low-smoke charcoal grills and ovens. Our main line, from a 45 litre portable up to 250 litres, plus a two chamber cabinet at 180 by 60 cm. The point of the design is to keep dripping fat away from the coals, since that is where most of the smoke in charcoal grilling comes from. The mechanism differs by model. On the 65, 80 and 125 litre the body is a horizontal barrel with two coal boxes running front and back, low in the chamber, the grate sitting high across the whole opening, and the fat falling into the channel between the boxes rather than onto the fire. A small fan feeds air through a duct between them for convection, so the heat crosses the food instead of blasting straight up. The 85 litre works differently again: coals underneath, a water pan above them, the grate on top.
- Offset smokers. Chambers at 90x45, 100x50 and 150x70 cm, a 250 cm tube unit, a 1400 litre barrel, and a 17.5 kg folding portable. Firebox to one side, cook chamber, stack. Heavy gauge bodies, because mass is what holds a steady low temperature through a long cook. Exact shipping weight per model is on the spec sheet.
- Hybrid grill and smoker. Sizes from 65 to 125 litres. These run charcoal or wood. No gas. One body does direct grilling and offset smoking.
- High heat and rotisserie. The FastGrill family in four sizes, closed chamber, stainless 304 on grates and inner parts where specified and heat resistant coating elsewhere. Also a twin shaft rotisserie, spit ovens, and a 48 skewer double faced spit oven. The rotisserie models use an electric motor, so tell us your market's voltage and plug standard at the enquiry stage.
- Regional and specialty. Argentine parrilla with wheel raised grate, built 120 to 200 cm wide to suit the customer's space. Japanese style konro yakitori grills lined with diatomite brick for binchotan, in black steel or stainless, sizes to order. A wood and gas pizza oven, a stone pizza fireplace, modular outdoor kitchen runs, and folding camp grills.
Bodies are steel with heat resistant coating. Stainless is used on grates and other parts depending on the model, and the spec sheet lists exactly which parts on which model. We also sell Ca Mau mangrove charcoal, but only as a small retail item inside Vietnam. Fuel is not part of what we offer for export. The equipment is.
Custom builds are the normal case here
Our own range grew out of custom orders. The same low-smoke idea exists at 45, 65, 80, 85, 125 and 250 litres because different kitchens asked for different sizes.
These are sheet steel products. Cut, bend, weld, coat. Changing a width, adding a shelf, moving a coal box, switching a part to stainless 304, adding castors or a taller stack does not need new tooling the way a moulded product would. That is the practical reason a workshop like ours can accept a drawing that a high volume line would turn down.
Cutting is done in house on our own laser, working from DXF, on sheet up to 1250 by 2500 mm. Bending, welding and finishing are in house as well. Send a drawing, a sketch, or photographs of what you want changed, and we will come back with what is buildable and what we would change.
What we can do for your brand
- Build to your dimensions and your drawing, in your choice of steel or stainless 304 on the parts that matter to you.
- Your logo and rating plate on the body, and a manual in your market language. We already publish manuals in Vietnamese and English, so this is normal work rather than a special project.
- Prototypes are fired and cooked on before we build a batch. We find the problems with fire, not with renderings.
To be straight with you: we have shipped one-off orders overseas, but we have not yet run a container programme or a private label programme for a foreign brand. The fabrication is routine for us. The commercial side would be written from scratch with you, and you should price that into how you plan a first order.
Why a Vietnamese workshop, and why this one
The country argument sits on every Vietnamese supplier page, so here is the short version. Vietnam has trade agreements in force with the EU, the UK, Japan, Korea and the CPTPP members, and many buyers are deliberately adding a second country of origin to their supply chain. Preferential duty only applies if a certificate of origin can be issued and your customs authority accepts it, so treat any duty figure as something to confirm with your own broker rather than something to read off a website. As an indication only, non electric solid fuel cooking appliances of iron or steel are usually classified under HS 7321.19, although commercial equipment is sometimes argued into other headings. Your customs authority decides that, not us.
The reasons to talk to us specifically are narrower and more useful:
- We are a workshop, not a volume line, so first orders here are usually small. We will build a single unit as a sample if you want to see the work before committing, on the basis that you cover the freight.
- Come and look. Buyers are welcome at the shop, and we will do a live video walk through the workshop on request. That is the fastest way to tell a real fabricator from a website.
- You are talking to the person who runs the shop. Drawing changes go straight to the people who build them, not through a sales desk.
- A grill is welding work, not assembled modules. Ask for close up photographs of the seams, before and after grinding. That is how to judge any workshop, including ours.
Ways to work together
- Regional distribution. We do not have a distributor programme in place yet, which means territory terms would be written with the first partner rather than handed down.
- Wholesale for resale. Tell us the model mix you want in a first shipment and we will work out whether it loads sensibly and what the packing costs.
- Contract manufacturing and private label. Our build, your brand, your packaging.
- Restaurant and chain projects. One fixed specification repeated across sites, sized to your kitchen line rather than to a catalogue box.
Documents, certification and after sales
We hold no CE, UKCA or ISO certification today. Saying otherwise would waste your time and ours. We can send drawings and coating specifications. For mill certificates on the steel and stainless, tell us what your market requires and we will check with our suppliers before you commit to anything. If your market needs specific testing, marking or food contact declarations, raise it in your first message so it is scoped into the project instead of discovered at the port. For any model with an electric motor, market specific electrical compliance has to be worked through with you before shipment.
On our domestic contracts the standard structural warranty is 24 months. Export warranty terms, spare parts and replacement grates are worth agreeing in writing before a first order, and we would rather have that conversation early than after something arrives bent.
Trade terms
Plenty of factory pages publish a minimum order quantity and a lead time that stop meaning anything the moment the drawing changes. We would rather quote properly. Send the models and quantities and we will come back with lead time, packing, crate dimensions, how the units load into a 20 foot or 40 foot high cube, payment terms and price on the Incoterm you work with. Give us a few working days for that rather than expecting a number by return, because export packing and freight get confirmed with a forwarder instead of guessed. Cat Lai and the Cai Mep deep water terminals are both reachable by road from the shop.
One thing to know before comparing numbers: the prices published on duyoven.vn are Vietnamese domestic retail, in VND, including local VAT. Export pricing is quoted from the workshop by quantity and is a different number.
